Max grew up on a farm near Atwood, KS and attended Fort Hays State University where he received his Bachelor’s degree in Business in 1970. After a couple years working on the family farm and working as the Credit Manager at a Cooperative in Sublette, he began his career in the financial services industry in 1974. As his business grew, he moved his family to Dodge City in 1975 and then to Overland Park in 1989.
Max takes great pride in his forty year career of incorporating his Christian values into planning for others as he would for himself and his family. Max is involved in the Kansas City Chapter of the American Society of Financial Services Professionals, the Investment Policy Committee and Board of Trustees of the Fort Hays State University Foundation, and Emmanuel Baptist Church. He also enjoys hunting, fishing, watching sports and spending time with his wife, Ruth, their two children and grandchildren.
